Since 1989, Sheraton Systems has helped over 200 companies to achieve their goals. A small selection of these are described below.

TH March

In November 2007, Plymouth based Jewellery Insurance specialists TH March launched their on-line “March Plus” jewellery scheme using Websure.

The company needed to move quickly to launch the product in time for pre-Christmas jewellery sales and Sheraton Systems were able to deliver the solution from start to finish in six weeks.

Although best known for its experience in supplying insurance to the jewellery trade, TH March also offers a wide range of other commercial and personal insurances.

Holman's

In 1999, Lloyd's broker John Holman & Sons commissioned Sheraton Systems to produce a system to handle a new travel insurance product. Rather than simply develop a one-off bespoke system however, Sheraton decided to use this as the opportunity to develop the first stages of a general purpose insurance system, utilising the knowledge they had built up the previous 10 years of insurance software development. That system was subsequently to become Websure.

The initial travel scheme was totally browser based, allowing it to be deployed in any telesales company regardless of the technology and without Sheraton ever needing to visit the site.

The scheme was an instant success and convinced Holman's to commission Sheraton to automate their marine and household underwriting departments using the same technology. This was also successful and Holman's quickly asked Sheraton to extend the system to allow it to be used for its entire broking operations. Since 2002, Websure has been used throughout the company for all its insurance activities.

With Websure, Holman's has been able to streamline its operations and expand into new markets that would have been uneconomical without the very high degree of automation provided by Websure. The company now handles almost a million policies and collect several million premiums a year using Websure and is continually extending its offerings and expanding into new markets.

In 2007 Holman's was awarded the Wholesale Broker of the Year award. The award recognised the firm's use of Websure to provide a fast and efficient service to the UK broker community.

Carroll Insurance Group

Carroll's had been a Sheraton customer since 1990 and relied on a number of bespoke systems developed by Sheraton in those early days for much of its policy administration. By 2000 however, these systems were reaching the end of their useful life and Carroll's purchased a replacement from one of the leading broking software suppliers. After two years however, the implementation was still only partially complete and when Sheraton demonstrated Websure to them, they quickly decided that it was a far better fit for several of their departments.

Carroll's therefore implemented Websure, initially running alongside their existing software and after a further 18 months, switched their entire operation to Websure. They now use it throughout the company.

Abbey Legal Protection

Abbey is one of the UK 's best known providers of legal protection insurance. After a lengthy selection process, they chose Websure to replace their existing systems and have been using it since 2006.

Morton Michel

Founded in 1964, Morton Michel is the leading specialist in childcare insurance. They currently arrange cover for over 10,000 nurseries and pre-schools, 20,000 child minders and nannies, 6,000 out of school clubs and numerous other social and voluntary groups connected with childcare.

After just 20 day's of training, Morton Michel's in house IT team were able to implement Websure with very little assistance from Sheraton Systems and have now become one of Sheraton's most self-sufficient customers.

Morton Michel, won the 2006 Insurance Age "Scheme Broker of the Year" award. The award recognised the firm's success in establishing a slick and efficient operation, focused on customer satisfaction.

Mobilkom

In 2006, Austria 's largest telecoms company “Mobilkom” decided to handle its mobile phone insurance using Websure. Since then, the project has been a great success, processing almost a million transactions a year.

Policy and claims data is hosted on Sheraton's servers in London and Websure is integrated with Mobilkom's retail and billing systems in Vienna using secure XML web services. The sales and billing processes are totally automated and require almost no human intervention other than ticking a box on the sales system to say that insurance is required.

Claim handlers in Austria use Websure for all claim processing. Underwriter and scheme administrators in the UK use Websure to process monthly bordereaux processing and accounting.
