WebX Launch
Sheraton has launched WebX, an optional add-on for Websure that allows a user with little knowledge of web development to build an e-commerce web site to sell insurance on-line. Features include immediate updating of back-office accounts.
With WebX you can build both retail sites and broker extranets. New insurance products can be brought to market very rapidly and with little or no external costs.
Jewellery Scheme Launched on Websure
Plymouth based Jewellery Insurance specialists TH March have launched their “March Plus” jewellery scheme on the web using Websure. The company needed to move quickly to launch the product on line in time for pre-Christmas jewellery sales and Sheraton Systems were able to deliver the solution from start to finish in a few weeks, going live in November 2007.
Holman's Award
Lloyd's broker John Holman and Sons, the first company to use Websure, has won to 2007 Wholesale Broker of the Year award. The award recognised the firm's use of Websure to provide a fast and efficient service to the UK broker community.
Holman's have used Websure for several years for all their broking and underwriting activities.
Scheme Broker of the Year
Websure user and childcare insurance specialist Morton Michel, has won the 2006 Insurance Age "Scheme Broker of the Year" award. The award recognised the firm's success in establishing a slick and efficient operation, focused on customer satisfaction.
Founded in 1964, Morton Michel is the leading specialist in childcare insurance. They currently arrange cover for over 10,000 nurseries and pre-schools, 20,000 child minders and nannies, 6,000 out of school clubs and numerous other social and voluntary groups connected with childcare.
After 20 day's of training, Morton Michel's in house IT team were able to implement Websure with very little assistance from Sheraton Systems and have become one of Sheraton's most self-sufficient customers.
Austrian Telecoms Giant "Mobilkom" chooses Websure
In 2006, Austria 's largest telecoms company “Mobilkom” decided to handle its mobile phone insurance using Websure. The project has been a great success, processing almost a million transactions a year.
Policy and claims data is hosted on Sheraton's servers in London and Websure is integrated with Mobilkom's retail and billing systems in Vienna using secure XML web services. The sales and billing processes are totally automated and require almost no human intervention other than ticking a box on the sales system to say that insurance is required.
Claim handlers in Austria use Websure for all claim processing. Underwriter and scheme administrators in the UK use Websure to process monthly bordereaux processing and accounting.
